9th Annual Art Walk turns Nyack streets into galleries

Crowds flocked to Nyack over the Father's Day weekend for the 9th Annual Art walk celebration.

The event turns shops into mini art galleries, and allows art lovers to purchase sculptures, photographs, and oil paintings directly from the artists themselves.

Merchants say the Art Walk also serves another purpose. "The purpose of it is to bring people into the stores to combine art with culture and the wonderful village of Nyack, with the retail shops and the restaurants," says organizer Paulette Ross.

The event featured 26 artists across 24 different venues and is held each year during Father's Day weekend.
