Hundreds of cancer survivors celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day in Tarrytown
Hundreds of cancer survivors, their families and caregivers celebrated National Cancer Survivors Day last night at the Tarrytown Double Tree.
The annual event hosted by Memorial Sloan Kettering gives cancer patients treated at their Sleepy Hollow location a chance to meet other cancer survivors face to face and celebrate their journey.
One attendee says being around people who have lived with cancer is really important because you have someone to turn to and understand you.
Memorial Sloan Kettering will open a new cancer treatment center in Harrison this October.
