Volunteers build student-designed playground at P.S. 9 in Yonkers
Volunteers braved the gloomy weather Thursday to help build a playground for the students of P.S. 9 in Yonkers.
What makes the playground special is that the students themselves designed it.
A group of volunteers from companies and organizations including Kaboom, Morgan Stanley and the Rotary Club pitched in to bring the students' creation to life.
The playground will also be open to hundreds of children throughout the Yonkers area.
