Leroi Bouche charged with attempted aggravated assault of a police officer in hit-and-run that sparked manhunt

The man accused of running over a police detective before going on the run for five days has been charged with attempted aggravated assault of a police officer.



Leroi Bouche, 27, was arrested in the Bronx Wednesday afternoon. Police say tips from residents led them to Bouche.



He was wanted for allegedly hitting a Yonkers detective assigned to the Westchester County DA's narcotics unit with his car when the detective was trying to interview him.



The detective was released from the hospital Wednesday.
