16 left homeless by fire on Mclean Avenue in Yonkers

Flames forced 16 people, including eight children, to flee their home in Yonkers this morning.

Fire officials say a fire broke out at 112 McLean Ave. around 8:30 a.m. today.

A resident tell News 12 that the fire started on the top floor of the two-story house. A man says he woke up when he smelled smoke, and he was able to alert the rest of the people in the house.

No one was hurt. The Red Cross is on the scene helping the displaced people
