A major milestone was celebrated at one of America's oldest operating yacht clubs.
The Yonkers Yacht Club celebrated its 150th anniversary Saturday.
The club does not have any hired workers. Instead, members put in hours to maintain it.
"It's just a great place to be and knowing how old it is and how it got here," says member Tim Sansverie.
Originally founded in 1879 on Fair Street in Yonkers, the clubhouse was moved to 1203 Warburton Ave. in Hastings in 1945.
The club's oldest pieces of history are medals won by original members back in 1895.
