Slaying in Doyle Park sparks rally for peace

Project SNUG held an anti-violence rally at Doyle Park Friday, just days after the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Joseph Huguet there.

Police say Huguet was shot four times in the torso at Doyle Park around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was a plumber and soon-to-be father.

John Thompson, of the Yonkers YMCA, says Project SNUG, which is guns spelled backward, can offer help after acts of violence by bringing the community together.

"We can stop retaliations, we can calm the anger...we can do something to make people able to move forward," says Thompson.
