Deep freeze settles in for Westchester, Hudson Valley

A deep freeze is bearing down on Westchester and the Hudson Valley this weekend.

News 12 reporter Zak Sos was in Yorktown Friday afternoon where the temperature hovered in the low-20s.

Health experts are advising residents to stay away from going outdoors during the cold snap. That also applies to pets.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning effect through Sunday at noon.
