Ambulette driver dies from cardiac arrest

A Genesis ambulette driver suffering from cardiac arrest died after crashing in Yonkers this morning.

Police say the accident happened around 6 a.m. in the area of 550 South Broadway.

First responders performed CPR on the male and then took him to Saint Joseph's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The driver crashed into two parked cars during the heart attack. A patient in the back of the ambulette was unhurt.

Police believe the driver's medical condition caused his death, not the crash.
