Pedestrian struck and killed on busy Pleasantville road

A pedestrian was struck and killed along a busy Pleastantville road on Sunday.

The crash happened along Washington Avenue.

Police have not ruled out if slippery roads may have been the cause.

The blizzard dumped 2 feet of snow in parts of the Hudson Valley, and people say they are taking it slow on the roads.

Most schools in Yonkers plan to open on time Monday, and the city has up to 45 salt spreaders working around the clock to make sure the roads are safe.
