Officials say a fight broke out at Iona College following a basketball game against Monmouth University Friday night.
Authorities say tempers flared when the teams were shaking hands after Monmouth's 110 - 102 win in New Rochelle.
They say while it wasn't immediately clear who sparked the altercation, during the incident Iona junior Jordan Washington slapped Monmouth's Chris Brady in the face.
Coaches and security attempted to calm the situation before the teams finally exited Hynes Center Court.
Officials say they will review the video to determine if any disciplinary action will be taken.
