Town of Cornwall asks for safer railroad crossways
Officials met in Donahue Memorial Park Thursday to demand safer railroad crossways in Cornwall.
They say the request comes after a woman's car was hit by an oncoming CSX train in November at a waterfront crossing.
Officials say the busy intersection is dangerous and want CSX to upgrade the crossing's signs and roadway.
A CSX representative says they'll work with leaders to make any necessary safety improvements.
