Loved ones mourn Monroe soldier

In addition to Air National Guard Technical Sgt. and NYPD Detective Joseph Lemm, loved ones and the community are also mourning another Hudson Valley war veteran.

Master Sgt. Eden Pearl, of Monroe, died last weekend after a six-year struggle with combat injuries.

He was seriously injured during a 2009 roadside attack in Afghanistan.

A letter from a family spokesman posted on Facebook says Sgt. Pearl passed away in Texas with family by his side.
