Cops: Father and daughter busted for heroin sale
A father and daughter are behind bars today after being accused of dealing heroin and other drugs in Orange County.
Warwick police say Bennet Palazzolo, 52 and his 19-year-old daughter, Grace, bought 90 bags of heroin in New Jersey to sell locally. When police caught up with them in Warwick, the two tried to throw the heroin out of the car window. "People are on the road between here and Paterson buying narcotics. They're buying heroin down there for $3, $5 at the most for a bundle and they're selling it here for $10. It's a lucrative business," says Warwick Police Lt. Thomas Maslanka.
Police say the two were being investigated after getting a tip from neighbors.
Both father and daughter are in Orange County Jail, facing multiple felony charges.
