The United Way's Women's Leadership Council came together for a breakfast Tuesday morning in Tarrytown.
The group is dedicated to wiping out poverty and increasing education in the Hudson Valley.
The event - held at Tappan Hill - featured Dawn Hudson, the executive vice president of the NFL, as the keynote speaker.
Those in attendance were asked to donate books to children.
News 12's own morning anchor Lisa Salvadorni served as moderator for the breakfast.
