Friends and relatives gathered to say their final goodbyes to the 2-year-old girl who died in a house fire in White Plains last week.
Lalayjah Pearson was laid to rest Saturday. Relatives remembered her as always joyful and laughing.
The toddler died in a fire at a home on Nutgrove Road. Investigators believe an electrical problem started the fire.
The girl's grandfather attempted to save her, but wound up suffering serious injuries. He remains hospitalized.
