A total of 18 children were adopted Friday at Westchester County Court in White Plains.
The adoptions corresponded with National Adoption Day, a collective effort to raise awareness of the children in the United States waiting for their forever families.
There are still 150 children in foster care in the Hudson Valley waiting to be adopted.
