Manhunt underway for bank robber

A manhunt is underway for a bank robbery suspect in Rockland County.

Police say a man held up the Wells Fargo at 154 Spring Valley Marketplace Thursday afternoon. Bank officials say the robber gave a teller a note and then stole about $700.

Investigators are not sure if the man was armed. "The suspect demanded money. He did not display a weapon. He implied that he had one, but he did not display one," says Spring Valley Detective Robert Brooks. "

Detectives say the white male had a salt-and-pepper beard and was wearing glasses, a grey hoodie and a New York Jets hat. Anyone with information is asked to call the Spring Valley Police Department at (845) 356-7400.
