Yonkers man accused of threatening note


Police say Basil Boland left a hate-filled note in the collection basket at St. Barnabas Church.

A Yonkers man is under arrest after police say he left a threatening note inside a Catholic church on the Yonkers-Bronx border.

Police say Basil Boland, 66, is facing charges after priests from St. Barnabas Church in Woodlawn found a hate-filled note in the collection basket.

The note said 'Whoever kills is doing God's work.'

Sources tell News 12 that Boland also left a threatening note at a store in Yonkers.
