The death of a man hit by a Metro-North train last night is being called an apparent suicide.
Witnesses say Gacel Machado, 34, walked out from a wooded area and laid down on the tracks just south of the White Plains train station at around 9 p.m.
He was struck by an oncoming train, and pronounced dead at the scene.
Machado had no known address.
