Fundraiser held to benefit seizure research

Friends and family of a Tuckahoe native who drowned after suffering a seizure are raising money for research.

John Crimmins, 22, drowned in the Atlantic Ocean while swimming in New Jersey.

As a result, mourning friends and family created the John Crimmins Foundation in his name.

The charity held its first fundraiser Saturday at Tuck'd Away Bar and Grill in Tuckahoe.
