Volunteers in Westchester are raising money for an important cause by making a splash into the Long Island Sound.
Swim Across America, an organization dedicated to raising money for cancer research, hosted a 5K swim event at the Larchmont Yacht Club.
The fundraiser began 23 years ago to honor Frank Webers' wife, who succumbed to cancer in 1992.
Swim Across America is expected to raise over $1 million this year. The organization has raised $15 million in the past 23 years for cancer research.
