An arrest has been made in a 3-week-old shooting case in Mount Vernon.

Police say Jamall Sinclair shot a man as he walked on South 4th Avenue in the middle of the day on July 3.

Mayor Ernie Davis says police identified the shooter right away, but it took some time to find him.

Sinclair has already served three years in prison for weapons possession.
