Brothers, dog rescued by Nyack Fire Department

Two brothers were rescued from the side of a cliff Wednesday afternoon after trying to save their grandparents' dog.

The 14-year-old mixed breed disappeared Wednesday afternoon from her home, located along the Hudson River in Upper Nyack.

Gabriel Katzenstein and his brother Alex spotted Punjik while searching along the shore. They tried to climb up and rescue the pet, but got stuck.

The brothers and the dog were carried safely to shore by the Nyack Fire Department's high angle rescue team.
