Clarkstown teacher faces heroin charges

A Clarkstown elementary school teacher is facing felony drug charges.

Police say they arrested Jill Blau, 42, in Mahwah, New Jersey after they found her with heroin and other narcotics. They were searching for her after she allegedly crashed her car into a utility pole and left the scene.

Blau is a special education teacher at Link Elementary School.

Blau was also arrested in 2013 for DWI. She was given a leave of absence from the school system after that arrest.
