New hotel opens at Yonkers shopping center

An upscale Hyatt Place hotel opened Tuesday in Yonkers right on the grounds of the Cross County Shopping Center.
Yonkers city leaders joined project officials Tuesday afternoon for the grand opening of the eight-story, 155-room hotel.
It features upscale amenities in each room, and free Wi-Fi throughout.
Officials say the hotel has created 50 jobs.
It is the first Hyatt Place in Westchester. News 12 has learned that there are plans to build another hotel at Ridge Hill.
