A group of parents and children sat down in front of Yonkers City Hall today, begging city leaders not to short-change their education.
Yonkers schools are in the middle of a budget crisis. The district is coming up $26 million short, and parents are demanding a solution.
Without the money, 101 jobs would be cut from the budget, including classroom teachers. Art, music and sports are also on the chopping block.
The legislative session ends next week.
