Man accused in robbery leads police on foot chase
Police have a man in custody who may be linked to a rash of robberies in Bronxville.
Police say Fabrice Noel, 20, was caught stealing from cars on Sturgis Road and led police on a foot chase that ended on Homesdale Road.
Noel was allegedly caught with a debit card that belonged to someone in Mount Vernon. He has been charged with petit larceny.
Investigators hope his arrest means that they are closer to solving the case of a string of break-ins and robberies in Bronxville this month. The latest incident was early Monday morning on Sturgis Road.
But police admit that the crimes currently aren't connected. They say the village is only about 1 square mile and that some residents tend not to lock their doors.
Noel is being held on $2,500 bail.
