Annual Eddy Awards held in Yonkers

Some future television stars were honored for their work at the 42nd annual Eddy Awards.

The ceremony was held Friday at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers, awarding 22 Catholic school students from across the Hudson Valley who write, produce and even deliver their own newscasts.

News 12's own Lisa Reyes was a presenter at the event.

Students say the skills they attained while learning to compete will apply in any place that teamwork is important.

This year's local winners were Transfiguration Elementary in Tarrytown and Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale.
