Man taken into custody unharmed after barricade situation

Stony Point police say an overnight barricade situation was resolved without injury.

Police and a SWAT team were called to a Willow Grove Road home just before midnight after a report of a domestic dispute.

Police say they arrived and found a 36-year-old man armed with a rifle at the home he lives at with his parents.

After hours of negotiations, officials say Matthew Conklin was taken into custody unharmed and transported to Nyack Hospital to undergo evaluation.

People living in the area of Willow Grove Road were told to stay inside and not leave their homes during the incident.
