Catholic school teachers threaten to strike
The New York Archdiocese is scheduled to meet with the Federation of Catholic Teachers today.
The meeting comes after staff at five un-named Catholic schools in Orange County and New York City are threatening a one-day strike over contract negotiations.
Union officials says they're being threatened with 10 or more school closures each year, if the teachers receive a wage increase. The teachers union has not had a contract since August.
The Archdiocese released a statement, saying it continues to "negotiate in good faith" with the union.
