Downed tree cuts power to New Rochelle neighborhood

The power is back on in one New Rochelle neighborhood after a tree fell on power lines, leaving dozens in the dark.

Residents around Kewanee Road reported losing power at around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Con Edison crews found a downed tree had taken down wires, cutting power to about 50 customers.

Power was restored to all affected residents by around 2 a.m.

The falling tree narrowly missed hitting a parked car, and it did not hit any houses. No injuries were reported.
