State police say human remains found on Captain Carpenter Road in Blooming Grove are Ramona Moore, a Bronx woman who was last seen in July 2012.
The remains were discovered in a field along Route 208 last Friday by construction workers in the area.
Police say they were able to identify Moore through dental records obtained by the NYPD.
The 35-year-old vanished from her apartment nearly three years ago. Police had always considered 29-year-old Nasean Bonie as their primary suspect. The two were seen arguing over rent on the night she disappeared.
Last year, prosecutors indicted Bonie on murder and manslaughter charges for Moore's death, even though they didn't have body.
They based their charges on circumstantial evidence, including witness testimony.
