Friends and family gathered Monday to say their final farewells to a well-known business owner shot and killed during an attempted robbery.

Richard Zarriello was shot six times, including twice in the head, in front of his business, the Clean Sweep Chimney Depot in Hackensack, New Jersey last week. He later died at Hackensack University Medical Center.

The 51-year-old Zariello was a longtime resident of Chestnut Ridge. He is survived by his wife and two children.

The suspect in the shooting is still at large.
