Police: Son allegedly killed father in Congers

A domestic dispute between a father and son in Congers apparently led to a homicide, according to officials.

Clarkstown police were called to 79 Ohio Ave. at around 5:30 a.m. and found 61-year-old Ismael Alicea beaten to death.

They say he was killed by his son, 33-year-old Steven Alicea, with a weight bar.

Alicea lived at home with his mother and father.

The suspect is currently being held in Rockland County Jail and will undergo psychological testing.

Alicea has been charged with second-degree murder. He is expected back in Clarkstown court Friday at 9:30 a.m.
