A Rockland teenager is taking the classical music world by storm.
Sebastian Pierre, 16, of Pomona, is a musical prodigy that has been playing musical instruments, including piano, before he could barely walk.
Pierre auditioned for the Crescendo International Music Competition and earned first place honors. For earning first place, Pierre went on to play a recital at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Pierre says that he hopes he can be an example for other African-American kids who want to pursue music.
Despite his musical genius, Pierre says that he doesn't aspire to have a career in music.
