Police: Armed man robs Scarsdale dry cleaner
Police are searching for an armed robber who held up a dry cleaners in Scarsdale Friday night.
The incident occurred just after 6:30 p.m. at Oxford Cleaners on Garth Road. No one was injured during the incident.
News 12 spoke with the couple that owns the dry cleaners. They say a man walked in posing as a customer, put a gun to the woman's head and demanded all the cash in the register. He then allegedly ran away.
Police say the suspect took roughly $300 in cash before fleeing.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s and about 5 feet 6 inches tall. Witnesses say he was wearing a red leather jacket at the time.
