More possible luring attempts reported
Two more girls from Nyack Middle School have reported being approached by a stranger.
Police say the latest incident happened Thursday afternoon when they were walking home from school in Upper Nyack at Birchwood Avenue and Route 9W.
A man in a red pickup truck pulled up and tried talking to the girls, causing them to run away. The man was described as a white male, approximately 50-60 years old, gray hair with facial stubble, wearing a plaid shirt and sunglasses.
The incident comes one day after another girl reported being approached by a man in a white sedan. Police do not think the two incidents are related.
Nyack Middle School has put out a notice to parents alerting them to the two events.
Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Clarkstown Detective Bureau at 845-639-5840.
