1 arrested in overnight double stabbing

New Rochelle police are still sorting out the bizarre circumstances that led to a double stabbing earlier in the week, but say that one of the victims is now in police custody.

Police say that a woman called from the corner of North Avenue and Pelham Road to say she had been stabbed just before 2 a.m. Tuesday. Responding officers discovered a male who had also been stabbed only a short distance away at the corner of Pelham Road and Franklin Avenue.

The two were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Cops say the two victims claim they don't know each other, and at this time, they are not looking for any more suspects.

Police would not say which of the victims was arrested.
