VP Biden speaks at WC fundraiser

Vice President Joe Biden spoke yesterday afternoon at a fundraiser for Rep. John Hall (D-District 19) in Bedford.

Hall is running for his third term, and many political insiders say Biden's appearance is a sign that Hall's campaign might be in trouble.

The fundraiser, which was closed to the media, was hosted by actors Richard Gere and Carey Lowell at their restaurant, Bedford Post, on Route 121.

"I was very honored to have the vice president here to speak on my behalf," Hall said after the event.

Hall may face off against Nan Hayworth, a doctor from Northern Westchester. Republican Dave McFadden may also throw his hat into the race in November.
