Police received reports that a man may have barricaded himself inside his home. Investigators say that probation officers were visiting 37-year-old Stephen Manfredi's Baldwin Road home because he had violated probation for a prior felony DWI conviction.

The French Hill Elementary School, which is a short distance from Manfredi's home, went into lockdown mode.

Police received assistance from Manfredi's girlfriend, who gave them a key to his home. However, he wasn't found inside.

Authorities say they have made contact with Manfredi by cell phone and are trying to get him to surrender.
