Somers residents celebrate Stephanie Crispinelli day

Hundreds of Somers residents came out to support the first annual Stephanie Crispinelli day Sunday.

Crispinelli, 19, tragically lost her life in the devastating Haiti earthquake while on a humanitarian trip with her college.

The local ice cream shop where Crispinelli worked has marked the day by donating 100 percent of their daily wages, tips and sales to the Stephanie Crispinelli Humanitarian Fund.

The humanitarian fund was established in Stephanie's name to support her true passion, helping the poor.
