Early voting for Port Chester village elections begins
The village of Port Chester will be using cumulative voting to elect trustees there for the first time as early voting began yesterday.
Ballots will be available in both English and Spanish after a judge ruled that the voting rights of Hispanics had been violated after Hispanic advocates in the village filed a federal lawsuit.
Voter educators are available at polling places to assist voters with the new system, which allows eligible voters to cast up to six votes at a time.
Election day for the village will be held on June 15.
