Alleged animal-fighting ring busted in Yonkers

An alleged dog and cockfighting ring was broken up by police this week in Yonkers.

Police say pit bulls, roosters and other animals were seized from 111 Orchard St. The building's owner, Valerie Lindemann, denies any illegal activity was happening on the premises.

Authorities have not disclosed if criminal charges will be brought against a man seen being taken from the building in handcuffs.
