Obama flies South, takes fourth tour of Gulf

(AP) - President Barack Obama is promising GulfCoast residents that the region will be left in better shape thanit was before the massive BP oil spill that fouled the waters andthreatened their way of life.

On a visit to the Alabama coast Monday, Obama said hisadministration will do everything it can, working all day everyday, to make sure that coastal communities now sufferingeconomically get back on their feet.

The president is also promising residents that the region willreturn to normal.

The spill has become the worst environmental disaster in U.S.history.
