Warwick boy breaks world record for injured Marine

Jack Singer, 10, of Warwick decided to do something unusual for his birthday this weekend, donning more than 200 pairs of underpants at the same time in the name of an injured Marine from the Hudson Valley.

Singer held onto a chair for balance as his parents and relatives quickly pulled up pair after pair of underwear until he reached 215 pairs, setting a new Guinness world record in about 18 minutes.

"I feel awesome! I can't believe I broke it," Singer declared after his record-setting achievement.

Instead of birthday gifts, Singer asked all who attended his party to donate cash to Marine Sgt. Eddie Ryan, who was injured in Iraq five years ago.

Singer's parents say they could not be more proud of their son.
