3 WC school districts pass budgets on re-votes

Voters in the Ossining, Katonah-Lewisboro and Pocantico Hills school districts passed their budgets after re-votes Tuesday.

In all three cases, the revised budgets were smaller than the budgets previously presented to voters.

In Pocantico Hills, the new budget calls for $25.9 million in spending for the schools next year, which would mean a 10.4-percent tax cut for the Greenburgh section of the district and a 4.5-percent cut in the Mount Pleasant portion. That budget passed 250 to 150.

Voters in Katonah-Lewisboro district approved their $109 million budget by about 600 votes. The $102 million Ossining schools budget included a tax hike of up to 3 percent and was passed by hundreds of votes.
