Yonkers police, residents protest potential budget cuts

Police officers and community members staged another rally last night outside Yonkers City Hall to protest potential layoffs forced by a budget crisis.

The city's police union has staged several related protests since January, as have Yonkers firefighters.

Yonkers Mayor Phil Amicone is heading to Albany today to request $109 million in state aid to meet city budget requirements.
