Wake held for fallen White Plains detective

Hundreds of family and friends gathered today to remember a White Plains detective who died suddenly last week.

Detective Michael Perry, 43, collapsed outside of police headquarters after chasing and arresting a career criminal. He later died with his family by his side at White Plains Hospital.

Those who knew Perry say he was a nice guy, hardworking and a good family man.

Police say they expect nearly 10,000 people tomorrow for Detective Perry's funeral at St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown.
