Cops seek Mt. Vernon hit-and-run driver

Mount Vernon police are looking for the public's help in finding a suspected hit-and-run driver who sent a 53-year-old man to the hospital this week.

Cops say the victim was crossing West Sandford Boulevard just south of 10th Street around 10 p.m. Tuesday when a dark green Nissan Pathfinder struck him.

The victim is listed in serious condition this morning at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle.

Police say the car had New York license plates, but that the plate number is unknown.
